Cavapoo puppies for
California
from parents you can look up yourself
Both parents of every Cavapoo litter is OFA screened for hips, patellas, cardiac and eyes and run through genetic disease panels. The results go to an independent registry, not just into our own files, so you can check them rather than take our word. We're in Millersburg, Ohio, about 2,300 miles from you but with professional transport options via ground or flight nanny distance is only a number not a hurdle.
Getting your Cavapoo puppy to California
Personal flight nanny $1,200 to $1,600. Most California families choose this.
Your puppy travels in the cabin, in a carrier under the seat, with someone whose only job that day is your puppy. Not in cargo, not in a hold, not alone.
It costs more to California than anywhere else we send, and it's worth knowing why: longer flight, usually with a connection, and the nanny's own travel costs more.
We fly into whichever airport suits you LAX, John Wayne or San Diego in the south, SFO, Oakland or San Jose for the Bay Area, Sacramento for the north. If you're in the Central Valley Fresno, Bakersfield, Victorville our direct options thin out, so we'll talk through whether it's better to fly into a larger airport and have you drive.
Ground transport - a few families choose this, and there's nothing wrong with it.
A professional pet transport service in a climate-controlled vehicle. At California distance it's a genuine cross-country run over several days rather than a single leg, and the timing depends on the service's route.
Families who choose it usually have one clear reason: they'd rather their cavapoo puppy never set foot in an airport. That's a perfectly good reason and we won't talk you out of it. Tell us and we'll price it and get you real dates.
Neither option uses a cargo hold. Not the vehicle, not the flight.
You're welcome to come to us. Some families fly into Cleveland or Akron-Canton, meet the parents, and carry their puppy home in the cabin as their own carry-on. From California that's a long day, but a few people do exactly that and it's the one way to see the parents and the puppies who you have been seeing.
Three hours behind
A small thing that comes up constantly. We're on Eastern time and you're on Pacific, so late afternoon for you is evening for us. Most California families settle into a mid-morning call their time, early afternoon ours.
It matters on arrival day too. A morning departure from Ohio lands in California mid-morning your time, which gives your puppy the whole day to settle before their first night. We aim for that where the flights allow.
Paperwork and your first week
California requires a health certificate from a licensed vet and we take care of arranging it.
Our contract asks you to have your own vet see the puppy within 72 hours or three business days of arrival. Book that before travel day, not after.

Customer Review From California
I recently received my new Cavapoo puppy, Mia, from Adora Perfect Pups, and I couldn't be happier with the entire experience. From the very beginning, they were communicative, responsive, and helpful, answering my questions and providing useful tips throughout the process. The transportation was well organized and arrived exactly as planned. Everything was handled professionally, which gave me confidence every step of the way. Most importantly, Mia arrived healthy, happy, and beautifully socialized. She has been an absolute joy, and it's clear she received excellent care before coming home with me. I highly recommend Adora Perfect Pups to anyone looking for a Cavapoo. My experience was exceptional, and I couldn't be more pleased with both my puppy and the breeder.

What does "health tested" actually mean here?
Both parents OFA screened for hips, patellas, cardiac and eyes, plus genetic disease panels. Cardiac and eyes are the two worth asking any Cavapoo breeder about since they are relevant to this breed and most often skipped, because eyes need a board-certified ophthalmologist.
Can I verify the testing myself?
Yes, and you should. OFA results go to an independent public registry that you can search our dogs at ofa.org. Each adult's results are also linked from their page on our website.
If a parent is a genetic carrier, is that a problem?
No. A carrier is a healthy dog carrying one copy of something. Testing both parents means we can pair them so no puppy in the litter is affected. That's the reason to test before breeding rather than after.
Why is the flight nanny more expensive to California?
Because it is the longest route we run and sometimes has a connection, and the nanny's own travel costs more. $1,200 to $1,600 depending on routing and date.
Can I choose ground transport instead?
Yes, and some families do. At 2,300 miles it's a multi-day cross-country run rather than one leg, so it takes longer and dates are softer. Families who choose it usually want their puppy to never see an airport, which is a perfectly good reason.
